Canva Social Media Sizes Cheat Sheet: Every Platform

The pixel sizes to use in Canva for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest, YouTube and X, plus safe zones so nothing important gets cropped.

Canva Social Media Sizes Cheat Sheet: Every Platform

Designing at the wrong size means blurry images, awkward crops and text cut off by the app interface. Use this cheat sheet to start every Canva design at the right dimensions. Platforms do adjust their specs, so if something looks off, check the platform’s own help pages for the latest numbers.

Safe zone rules of thumb

  • Keep text at least 60 to 80 pixels from every edge.
  • On vertical 9:16 designs, keep the top and bottom 250 pixels free of important text.
  • Center key content on covers and banners, since they crop differently on mobile and desktop.

Getting the size right is step one. The rest of the design system is in our complete Canva social media guide.
